This flu season we would like to help protect our student body by providing flu vaccines during school hours.  The Carroll County Health Department will be offering and administering flu shots to Central Elementary School students on October 28 from 9-11am. Please be aware that participation is completely voluntary and vaccines will only be administered to those students who have a parent signed consent form.  No one will be charged or billed for the flu vaccine regardless of if you have insurance.  However, they will file a claim with the insurance company for those students with insurance coverage.  If you would like for your child to receive the flu vaccine at school, please review the Vaccine Information Sheet and then print, sign and return the Flu consent form to the school nurse by Friday, October 18.  The Vaccine Information Sheet and the flu consent form are available on our school website. Forms will be available online, in the front office, or you can contact the school nurse or your child's teacher for a form to be sent home. If you have questions regarding the flu vaccine or are unsure if your child should receive the flu vaccine please contact your healthcare provider.
