About Us

The PTO is an important organization at Central Elementary School. It serves as a link between parents and teachers and exists for the benefit of your children. To be effective, we encourage any and all comments, suggestions and participation.

As well as paying for various teacher "wish list" items, the PTO also sponsors activities to help our teachers and children. Our main goals for the 2007-2008 school year are to fulfill the teachers' wish lists, and facilitate more communication and volunteerism for the betterment of our school and our children's education.

We need you as volunteers to make our projects a success. The following list of activities, which PTO sponsors throughout the year, are in need of volunteers:

Landscaping: Volunteers take care of any landscaping of school grounds that are not done by the system. This usually includes planting flowers and shrubs, laying pine straw, and cleaning up planting areas.

Newsletter: Volunteers help type and put the newsletter together.

Hospitality: Volunteers look for ways to honor and encourage our teachers and students.

Homeroom Representatives: Volunteers act as a liaison between the PTO and students. Help coordinate parent volunteers.

Box Tops Collection Dates: We will need parent volunteers to help count box tops on these two dates.

PTO Meetings

Each meeting will keep parents up-to-date on the latest CES news plus we'll get to find out who the month's Super Lions are. And there is sure to be great entertainment, whether it's the CES chorus under the direction of Mrs. Wiggins, a play or even a puppet show. Come join us and you'll find out!
