Central Elementary School is the first to establish a fifth grade afternoon tutoring and character building program called “MAD Club” in the county. This is an excellent opportunity to provide additional support to many of our students. The program is not mandatory, however, highly encouragedfor those students who ride a bus home from school.
"Making A Difference" Club
Who: Prioritized fifth grade students who are demonstrating a need for additional support in the areas of reading, math, science, or social studies.
When: Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 - 5:00 beginning December 4, 2019 and continuing until April 29. 2019.
Where: Central Elementary School
Tutors: Central Elementary Certified Staff
Arrival: Participating students will remain at school at the completion of the school day. They will report to the designated area for check in and attendance before being dismissed to their tutor group.
Dismissal: Central Elementary will provide bus transportation home for all participants. Opportunity to attend the CES After School Program will be provided for younger siblings of participants who depend on 5th grade sibling to accompany them in the afternoons.
