I began my teaching career in January of 2005. I graduated from UWG with a degree in Elementary Education and have taught all subject areas in upper grades. I earned Georgia Master Teacher certification in 2013 and completed my Gifted Education endorsement in 2016 and began serving on Carroll County School's E3 Professional Development team in 2019.  I was presented with the phenomenal opportunity of opening up the STEM Lab at Central in 2018. In the summer of 2023, I was presented with the opportunity to work with all 4th and 5th-grade QUEST students! I earned my National STEM Educator certification in 2021 and graduated with my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University in May of 2023 and will graduate from the University of West Georgia in May of 2023 with my Specialists Degree in Instructional Technology with an endorsement in Online Teaching.

I also work part-time teaching classes at OneLife Fitness. I also have a son, Tyson who is an avid soccer player and a daughter, Anna who cheers competitively for Central Middle School. I have been married to my husband Matthew, who is a United States Marine Corp Veteran for 19 awesome years!

I absolutely love the opportunities that Central ELementary has provided me. Each day is more exciting than the last and I love watching all of my students learn how to be critical thinkers through the engineering design process. Serving as the upper grades Gifted Facilitator is truly my dream job!
