I taught for 35 years here at Central Elementary and retired at the end of the 2026 school year. I will begin a new chapter in my teacher career as a part-time EIP teacher. 

I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Special Education at the University of West Georgia and  Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. I am married to Robert, and we have 2 daughters. Elle is a graduate student at Auburn University working on her masters in Finance. Emily is a junior at Georgia where she is a pre-med student majoring in chemistry. 

I also serve as the tennis coach at Central High School and Central Middle School.

When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, playing tennis and traveling. I volunteer for my church with their church camp during the summer. You can either find me in the classroom, on the tennis courts, or at any Central Community Event. Go Lions!!
