Bio
Dalenie Jones has been teaching for 32 years. She has taught all 32 years at Central Elementary. This is
her 5th year as the head tennis coach at Central High School. She was the assistant coach for three years
before taking over as the head coach. Dalenie has also been the head coach for the Central Middle
School for the past 8 years. Dalenie started a Tennis Club at the elementary school in 2017 to introduce
the younger generation to the game of tennis and learn the skills.
Dalenie received her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Special Education at the University of West
Georgia and her Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. She is married to Robert, and they
have 2 daughters. Elle is a junior at the University of West Georgia where she plays on the women’s
tennis team. Emily will be starting college in the fall and working on her pole vaulting skills to complete at the college level.
When she is not teaching or coaching, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, playing
tennis and traveling. She helps volunteer for her church with their church camp during the summer. You
can either find her in the classroom, on the tennis courts, or at any Central Community Event. Go Lions!!
