After graduating from the University of West Georgia, I began teaching in 1992. Later, I earned a master's degree in Reading (K - 12) followed by a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My experience includes 16 years teaching K - 2, 13 years teaching 4th grade ELA, science, and social studies, and 5 years teaching 5th grade ELA and social studies.

My husband and I have three grown children and two sons-in-law plus one cat named Ruby. History is one of my passions, and I also enjoy reading, sewing, and gardening.
