Students are selected for this club because of their outstanding performance in reading and reading comprehension skills. During the summer, before the start of the school year, students read the 10 required chapter books set forth by the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl committee out of Dekalb County, GA. Students make book projects and study the information about each book so that come January, students can perform in an academic meet style competition about comprehension questions from each book. If Central ELementary Places first in the Carroll County Competition, we will move on to the district competition.
